Mincemeat, Marmalade & Chutney making

December is the mincemeat making time of year and January is marmalade making.   I had an attempt at making my own chutney too when the apples were falling from the trees in October.  Mincemeat December 2019 Marmalade January 2019 Preparation of the oranges and the lemons - took about 2 hours cutting the rinds and then someone suggested I could have put them in the food processor Well that's what I intend doing the next time I make marmalade! WELL 2020 marmalade making 11th January 2020  The recipe from the  Three Chimneys, Skye book suggests that the rinds  should not be machine cut  as it makes the marmalade cloudy  so set to and cut the rind by hand. I also did half the recipe so will be making another batch at a later date The process took about 9 hours from start to finish but it was well worth it 2020 Marmalade    Chutney  My first attempt at making chutney Apple, Date & Ginger Chutney - October 201
